2&4 Wheel Motorsport (on behalf of MCUI and ANICC) are receiving funding in 25/26 financial year from Sport Northern Ireland to improve safety at Motorsport events/venues throughout Northern Ireland.  2&4 Wheel Motorsport are seeking to purchase 70 Type C safety bales, 110 pole protectors and 100 kerb protectors. We are seeking expressions of interest from manufacturers/suppliers of with the following criteria: 

• Manufacturers/Suppliers with the ability to supply and deliver 70 Type C safety bales, 110 pole protectors and 100 kerb protectors to Northern Ireland by 31st March 2026. 
• Manufactures/Suppliers who have previous experience in providing safety bales, pole protectors and kerb protectors for motorcycle road race/street race events. 
• Manufacturers who hold or who have held FIM certification for a Type C safety bale product (with the past 5 years). 

Type C Safety Bales with or close to the following specification:

• Bales must have male/female ends with semi-circular interlocking ends.
• Multi-Layered Polyurethane Foam Inner.
• Heavy Duty PVC Coated Covering.
• Flame Retardant and Weather Resistant Cover.
• Designed for Covers to be Replaceable.
• Ventilation holes to allow Controlled Compression. 
• Robust carrying handles for Lifting and Positioning located at each end. 
• Fastening Loops to the underside of bales for fastening together. 
• Colour – Blue 
• Approximate Dimensions: (L) 2.15m x (W) 0.61m x (H) 1.02m
• Approximate Weight: 90kg

Kerb Protectors with or close to the following specification: 

• Wedge Shaped 180 
• Narrowly triangular, wider at the apex and tapering toward the base
